Seeds for IPEACH were planted in Melbourne, 2018 by a small group of professionals each passionate about the role of arts therapy in PIMH and each trying to elevate the benefits of including expressive and creative therapies in both antenatal and perinatal health care.

In 2024, connections with other PIMH focused creative arts and music therapists, health professionals, and academics doing incredible work across Australia were forged.

In 2025, the Infant and Parent Engagement in Arts and Creative Health was born!

Infant and Perinatal Engagement in Arts and Creative Health is an interdisciplinary collective dedicated to expanding access to creative arts and music therapies for parents and infants through research, advocacy, and education.

Infant & Perinatal Engagement in Arts & Creative Health Collective Inc. (IPEACH) is a Not-for-profit organisation. The collective of PIMH (Perinatal and Infant Mental Health) professionals are committed to the inclusion of music and arts therapies across the PIMH space. Our health and allied health members come from diverse professional backgrounds working in a range of settings from community spaces to inpatient acute healthcare.
